STEP-1

STEP-1 is a new pilot program that provides children and adolescents with hard-to-cure cancer, from anywhere in Canada, with financial support to facilitate travel and access to academic early phase clinical trials at SickKids. Academic early phase trials typically don’t have a specific budget for this purpose – therefore, STEP-1 aims to cover eligible travel costs upfront, reducing the burden of out-of-pocket expenses for patients and families.

STEP-1 is proudly supported by the Garron Family Cancer Centre at SickKids.
